Red face

Hey guys.. I am slightly upset about something, and thought I would post here & vent. Hope you guys dont mind. I emailed Michelle about it earlier when I was very angry.. now I am just slightly angry.. lol So here we go, please tell me what you think. Now I know I am going to sound ungrateful & like a spoilt little bitch, but hey.. honestly I dont care! heheh
I just recieved my tickets for the concert, which I got through the fanclub. Now keeping in mind we're meant to get PRIORITY seating from the fanclub.. and my tickets are in ROW Q!! Goddamn row Q... thats 17 rows back. If you were me would you be angry? I joined the fanclub almost solely because of the opportunity to purchase priority seating for the concert, because I really wanted good seats, and I feel as though I have been conned into joining the fanclub under the premise of being able to get good seats, when infact the seats I got were shit. Other fanclub members are getting tickets from about row A to C... now surely something has gone wrong when I have tickets in Row Q. I just want some other opinions.. should I be angry? Should I just let it go? Should I email the fanclub? What should I do? Any advice would be appreciated

Jen, it's okay to be upset. You have every right to be disappointed. I would send the fan club an email and ask them why you got seats so far back. Express your disappointment and ask if anything can be done... they might find a way to compensate you... I mean row Q is not a deal!

I'm feeling like I wasted money on the FC... I'm not really into the message board so much, Darren is never going to tour Canada and do I really need the key ring? Ah well. Live and learn.

enjoy the show! You're still going to have a great time!

Hi Jen, Yes you should be upset. One of the main reasons for joining the fan club would be for the facclub seating. You have not recieved any special seats or priority seats. I know that even though Im in Perth and not a member of the fanclub I got row J. So you quite franky deserved better than that. The Fanclub should be able to secure the first few rows for there members if that is what they are offering. Email and find out what happened.

I think you've got every right to be pissed off Jen Those seats are appalling and you'd have done better getting them yourself! The fan club has really messed up on this and they owe you an explanation. I'd definately e-mail them and see what they have to say!

This is just a thought as to why you may have ended up with Q.

Maybe the fan club only put three rows of seats away and they had more requests for priority seating then expected...by the time they realised that they needed more seats, the first available (ie. that hadn't been bought via ticketmaster) were P and Q etc.

DOESN'T EXCUSE WHAT THEY'VE DONE AND THEY SHOULD COMPENSATE!

Thanks for your replies everyone For a while I didnt feel justified being so upset, but now I know that its ok. Also a friend of mine from around my area got the seat next to mine through the fanclub, so we wrote an email together. This is what we sent of you are interested. Let me know what you all think to the SOS for your support. (This was written by Lisa btw)

Dear Fanclub,

Today we received our tickets to the Newcastle concert set down for September 5th, 2002. Our delight turned to frustration to see that our tickets are 9 rows from the back of the theatre, we are seated in Row Q. Priority seating was the main attraction for all members who joined the fan club. We have sat patiently awaiting our tickets, hearing of those in Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong receive such fantastic seats, Rows A - C. To get row Q in Newcastle was upsetting, there seems to be no set priority seating allocated for this concert. Another fanclub member recieved a Row B ticket, when infact he purchased tickets after us, could you please help us to understand how this was worked out? Other's who bought from Ticketek a week after we ordered via the fanclub managed to obtain seats in the first 4 rows.

Before I continue, I would like to point out, that we are in no way directing the blame at you, the fanclub, although we are hopeful, that you are able to help us out in some way.

Thank you for your efforts in obtaining seats for Darren's Newcastle performance. As much as we appreciate all you have done to gain seating for this show, I am sure you can understand how disappointed we are to be seated in row Q.

Regards
Lisa and Jen
